Dennis Saunders
Wood Craftsman
Dennis Saunders is a local woodworker who in his own words is “just a man
who loves his Lord.” Dennis serves his Lord in a variety of ways. He takes
care of the grounds at his primary church and does construction projects at
others.
Several years ago Dennis established a prison ministry. He gives his time
freely in his “evangelistic endeavors,” and spends much of his time
corresponding with prisoners and sharing the Bible with them. Dennis
writes many letters in support to those who are the “outcasts” of society.
(Hebrews 13:3)
Dennis mostly “uses his artistic talents to serve those on the outside.” (1
Peter 4:10) His finely handcrafted wooden pieces are made from beautiful
woods from around the world. The inlaid wooden crosses that he makes
have been given as gifts adding a Christian focal point to a home, as well a
reminder to those who need the Lord in their life.
Most of the proceeds Dennis collects from the sale of these beautiful
handcrafted works of art go to supporting his prison ministry.
At Simply Sacred Books & Gifts we can’t help but see the parallel – Dennis
a carpenter as was Jesus, uses his talents to serve the Lord. In addition, he
has a special place in his heart for those that most people cast aside. We
invite you to come and see his pieces in our store. His pieces would be great
gifts for a godchild, godparent, family member, friend or neighbor. It is a gift
you can feel good about giving, crafted in the USA and your money is
supporting a man who is helping others. All proceeds from the sale of the
work of Dennis Saunders go directly to support his ongoing ministry.
